It's 8:30 and we are driving back from the beach. A few of us have the Sunday night blues, but happily not me. Daisy is sitting between Anna and I in the backseat. She is totally worn out after a weekend of running around and digging in the sand. I think it's safe to say that Daisy loves the beach. She almost died of dehydration on Saturday, but she didn't seem to care. I guess that 5 mile walk we took was a little too much for her.
The highlight of my weekend was finding a very fishy spot at the mouth of the New River Inlet and watching my alma mater, George Mason University beat the Tar Heels in the second round of the national champs (basketball for those not stateside). Back to fishing though, I can't wait to get a surf pole, some live bait and see what I can find in the inlet. When we arrived there on Saturday (it was the turn around point in our 5 mile walk) there was an entire pod (or is it school?) of dolphins swimming in the channel. Very fishy indeed.
By the way I have a new favorite blog boingboing.net. You may enjoy it you may not. Did I mention that the restaurant we ate at last week in Washington was so yummy? TenPenh. Not suprisingly it's on Tenth and Pennsylvania! Have a great week. Ben

Your weekend sounds wonderful and I'm glad Daisy loved it too, after her mammoth walk. It's Human Rights Day here, so a nice lazy day for us with an afternoon kip!
Sounds wonderful, especially the afternoon nap!
