Today is a holiday. While our Northern neighbors tend to put in a day's work on Good Friday, Southern sensibility dictates this day a holiday. Ben and Daisy the Dog are on a walk. I'm about to make a pot of coffee to see me through the morning (holidays are for drinking more coffee than usual). And we intend to enjoy the day at home.
Spring has arrived, and it's been lovely. Daylight savings was scheduled early this year due to a Congressional mandate, so we've had an extra month of long well-lit evenings, and it's been good for the world's morale.
I, for one, am more motivated to leave work at a reasonable hour, so I can get home and enjoy the dusky evening. We dug out an old charcoal grill and have made most suppers outside lately. Ben has been working in the yard - he has big plans for a flower bed in the front. Big plans.I've even started running again. And that's a good thing.
Ben is just home from the walk now and popped his head in: "What's for breakfast?"
Good question.
