scratch and sniff

We bought a (smallish) Christmas tree last night. Even though we're going to Cape Town in three (!) weeks, I still wanted a tree in the house, even for only a little while.

There is nothing better than the smell of a fresh North Carolina Fraser Fir in the house. I wish I could import the smell into this entry, so you could smell it too.

Imagine if you could download the smell of a Christmas tree.

oh you lucky things - a real christmas tree, looking forward to seeing you guys. just been catching up on your blogs and read als comment on thanksgiving, and wondered if you would be able to bring ratatoille with you? if you have space.

remember to leave lots of water for the tree or you will come back to a carpet ful of needles.

Rather bring Fraser Fir with you. We only have South African Pine, which doesn't smell nearly as Christmasy. Hope you're ready for a hot Christmas.
