secondhand newspapers

So, Al and Deb returned from their overseas adventure - a little jet lagged, but most importantly - bearing presents. A few from them (including my very favorite Cadbury Mint Crisps!) and a few from Gerry and Gill (thanks, G&G!). How spoiled are we. We're quite aware.

Ben is right now poring over yesterday's edition of the Cape Times, hot off the presses and personally delivered by aforementioned world travelers. He's catching up on all his cricket and rugby (the poor deprived boy, having to be subjected to things like Basketball and Football at every turn).

And me, I just finished today's Washington Post, which my dad picked up in the airport on the return flight. I do miss that paper - and that city. I really do. I read the Post cover to cover, even the boring bits, because I didn't want to miss a thing.

Tonight, the E-Ranch (minus one) met for drinks. Those girls make me laugh. They really do. It's very nice to know them. Leslie, we thought of you often. There was a fourth chair at the table with your name all over it.

Well, that's enough for now. One last bite of Mint Crisp, and it's off to bed for me.
