Do wake up to coffee and presents in bed.
Do go to work. You get more "Happy Birthdays" that way. And if you're lucky, friends will treat you to lunch.
Don't stay at work late though. You have a dinner date with Ben.
Do put off decisions that you'd rather not make. After all, today is your birthday.
Don't restrict your celebration to one day. A good birthday should really take a week.
Do go to bed feeling happy and loved: You are one lucky girl.

I'm an idiot. A Great Big Dork. I can't believe I called you ON YOUR BIRTHDAY and didn't wish you happy b'day. Me. The queen of celebrating her own. I'm sorry I was so selfish!! Sounds like it was a fab day, look for a birthday treat soon...
Happy birthday Anna! Hope you have a wonderful week.

Everyday is a birthday for me then - sans the presents and the date with Ben (thank God!)
Happy Birthday in arrears, I trust it was the best yet. Hope the date went ok too!!

Oh, and sans feeling like a lucky girl ;-)
Anna, you learned your love of birthdays from your wonderful mother, who has taught me (though it has taken decades) that there is something very special about celebrating our birth, our being, the wonder of our existence in this infinite universe-yet loved and known by the Creator and those he has given to love us by grace. Happy, happy birthday week, beloved daughter.
