soundtrack

Tonight, Ben built a fire. We finished what was left of a bottle of Champagne left in the fridge from Thanksgiving. And we decorated our small tree. Right now, we're sitting quietly in our living room with the tree lit. It's late, but we'll stay up a little longer to see the fire through to the embers.

Every year, I make it a mission to unearth wonderful (and sometimes obscure) Christmas music on iTunes.

This evening, our highly recommended Christmas-ing soundtrack included:

Cherry Tree Carol - Emmylou Harris
Come Thou Fount - Sulfan Stevens
Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel - Joshua James
Peace - Norah Jones
Angels We Have Heard on High - Sulfan Stevens
The First Noel - Leigh Nash
Skating - Vince Guaraldi Trio (A Charlie Brown Christmas)
I'll Be Home for Christmas - Tift Merritt
Walkin' in Jerusalem - Mahalia Jackson
Jingle Bells - Frank Sinatra
Joy to the World - Etta James
Baby, It's Cold Outside - Ella Fitzgerald and Louie Armstrong
O Tannenbaum - Vince Gauraldi Trio (A Charlie Brown Christmas)
Happy Holidays - Beef Wellington Remix
