More weather stories

They say one talks about the weather when there's nothing else going on, which is certainly not true in our case. The truth is I like to talk about the weather, perhaps I am still purging my system of years of 'intentionality'. The other day we had one of those wonderful thunderstorms I am prone to talk about. In mid afternoon, the sky went black and the earth received a heavy soaking. A cool breeze sprung up and the temp dropped dramatically. Wonderful! But it's meant to be hot again today, maybe we'll get another thunderstorm.
I also made a very important discovery yesterday evening while walking the dog. The neighborhood pond is stocked full of very healthy looking bass, which are currently eating other little bass hatchlings. I think I may have a fly pattern to match.

Are bass edible? or is it all for the thrill of the chase?

They are edible, but I am not eating any of those fish. I do it for the thrill, you know, standing on the bank for hours, willing a bite...
