This is turning into a 60-hour work week. Not counting the hours I've logged this weekend. A major deadline looming.
Also, I spent most of Thursday evening on the phone with the IRS. There was a mistake on our 2006 return. That means, we owe a very large sum of money. Immediately.
SIGH. SIGH. SIGH.
I will get over it all. I'm quite determined. I know it could be much worse. Etcetera. Etcetera.
And thankfully, we're taking a mini-vacay this weekend. We're off to Sonoma for four days of wine-drinking and eating and wine-drinking and eating. And more wine-drinking and eating. That's really all that's on the agenda. And thankfully, so. I think that's as much as we can muster. I'm sure we'll come back relaxed and delightful. Check back next week for a brighter post.
In the meantime, for sunnier accounts on life, please visit Leslie's blog. She ran 18 miles last weekend. Or see also the Adlards in ZA - an ambitious tree house project is underway.

I would say that you have ample reason to be grouchy. Go for it. So sorry about the current circumstances, I hope the vacay will dull the memory of it all. Sonoma sounds heavenly! And thanks for the blog mention and all of your encouragement via comments :)
P.S. How about a Daisy update post?
Groucy is honest, and honestly, how could any communication from the IRS NOT make one GROUCY?
(For those is S. Africa, there are probably no other three initials that cause more fear, anger, and...grouchiness for Americans than "IRS").
But Deb and Al are also going with to Sonoma, and that is a real remedy for grouchiness.

In South Africa we just refer to 'The Receiver' ('of Revenue'). That sums it up. Have a super time in California, folks!
Have a very fun and non-grouchy time in Sonoma! Drink a glass of wine for me.
