Ben's favorite American holiday. This year, we'll be hosting our first Thanksgiving. At our little house. Tomorrow, we'll spend the day getting ready.
My mom, Carlye and I crafted an impressive menu (if I do say so myself).
It goes something like this:
Hors d'oeuvres:
Almond-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon
Cream cheese grapes rolled in pistachios
Sausage-goat cheese empanadas
Cranberry cocktail
Thanksgiving dinner:
Lemon-Herb Turkey
Cornbread dressing with Roasted Root Vegetables
Potato gratin with porcini mushrooms and marscapone cheese
Sauteed brussel sprouts with pancetta
Cranberry sauce
Swiss bread
After:
Sweet potato pie with marshmallow meringue
Autumn tartlets
