As usual for the Adlard household, we're in the throes of several last-minute projects and to-dos before Thanksgiving. We have this terrible combination of being over-ambitious and procrastinators at the same time. So, what often happens prior to major deadlines (such as Thanksgiving dinner) is that we're running around at the last minute trying to complete projects.
We've already accomplished a lot today. But, as of 5:30 this evening, here are the tasks we still have to complete:
Fix the gaping hole in our wall that has been hidden behind the dresser for five months.
Install a new light fixture in the dining room (hurrah!).
Stop by the grocery store for those few remaining items that I forgot to buy. Until now. Buttermilk, sweetened condensed milk, paper towels, tupperware (for leftovers!), bones for Daisy (to keep her busy when company arrives tomorrow).
Pick up a prescription.
Clean house.
Walk Daisy.
Make sweet potato pie (to get a head start on tomorrow!).
Make cornbread from scratch (for stuffing!).
Load up the iPod with good tunes.
Oh - and have a bite of dinner!
We'll let you know how it all pans out. Plus, if you're lucky before-and-after pictures of the light fixture project.
