And have been for a solid two weeks now. So, it's high time for an entry. You know it's bad when people strike up a conversation in your comments section wondering if you're still in Africa.
I have so much to tell you about our trip to South Africa. Like: how strange it is to step off the plane into summer time. Which means it's perfectly normal to go for a swim on New Year's Day. Also, we have nieces (plural)! Then there was the time James tried very hard to set the kitchen (and his arm) on fire in a beautiful, fiery dessert finale to Christmas Eve dinner.
Now. That was something.
And there was that lion who tried to eat us. Really. I'm not making that up. There was also a return trip to Mamelodi that was a lot like a homecoming. Any many many stories in between.
So, consider this the trailer for our Cape Town entries. More to tell. More to come.

Ok, ok, I'll stick to my deal. You posted, I'll post.
But don't expect it to be interesting.
Glad you're back safe and sound. The trip sounds FAB, can't wait to see pictures!
i am so happy you are back, i can't wait to hear stories! I bet it was pretty dreamy being back in Africa and meeting new members of your fam, how cool.
One has to be quite patient, doesn't one?
