dear ones

Our guest room feels sadly empty. For four days last week, Leslie lived in the little house with us, while she put in the day shift helping Carlye with her Three under Four.

I do not take for granted that I have something very special in the E-Ranch. These ones. These are the kind of friends who will drop everything to hop in a car and drive seven hours from Chattanooga to cheer you up or celebrate with you or go to the grocery store for you...because that's what you really need. And you can't ask just anyone to go to the grocery store for you.

While Leslie was here, all four of us went out to dinner one night. And you must remember: the four of us together all at once is a rare occurrence. It was light-hearted and funny, and we were all completely ourselves. It made me think -- even though the four of us could not be in more different places in our lives, we have somehow figured out a way to get each other, love each other and be there for each other. It's a wonderful thing.

I do not take these ones for granted.

You have no idea how much I needed this just this very moment...

I too am grateful for these ones, and love y'all with all my heart.

And just so you know, I'd come back and share that cozy blue room with Daisy anytime :)

ME TOO! I love you guys too! You are the best friends EVER and I know I'll think that when I'm 97. So when our kids are having their hips replaced I'll be telling my great grandchildren who these 3 crazy woman are in the E-Ranch.
